And if you like, you can now buy things from my online shop. Click here to see what's available. More will be added hopefully.

Darren Hayman Screen Printed Poster

This is the final poster for the Darren Hayman gig at Godlee Observatory. It is different to the advert poster, I made it more appropriate for screen printing.

There are only 60 available in total. They will be on sale at the venue and then from my website.
They are all hand signed and numbered.

In The City

Richard Goodall Gallery commissioned me to create their artwork for this year's In The City conference in Manchester. Here is what I came up with.

The poster will be available soon from the gallery and my online shop as a very limited signed and numbered 4 colour screenprint.

An Astronomical Evening With Darren Hayman

I was asked to create a poster for a special night at Godlee Observatory in Manchester. This event will sell out quickly as there are only 30 tickets available to each of the 2 shows. There will be a very limited number of screenprints available at the shows, I will post the printed version when it is completed, it will be slightly different.

Inspirations for the poster are Jason Munn aka The Small Stakes, whose work I was influenced by before I was even aware of his work & Bioshock, I recently completed this game and looking at the poster I definitely took something from there. Although this poster is unlikely to give me countless sleepless nights.

For more details about the event click here.

Inception Poster/Infographic (Revised)

After seeing Inception for a 3rd time, I came to the realisation that I was wrong about events after Fischer is shot by Mal. I originally assumed he wasn't dead so they went into a deeper dream level but Ariadne explains that they follow Fischer into limbo. I have change my poster accordingly. Hope this makes more sense x

Inception Poster/Infographic

I saw Inception (twice) over the weekend, and I have had quite a bit of trouble getting my head around certain details. I found an infographic yesterday and found the information to be different to my interpretation of the events. So I set about trying to piece together this information and added a few design elements for a background and even it's not conventional, it eventually turned into a poster. It makes sense in my head, but there are so many theories that it will also look silly to others.

Back To The Future Timeline

Below is a design I have been working on fairly hard over the past few days. It's an information graphic of the events during the course of the Back To The Future trilogy.
I watched the films yesterday and set about trying to make sense of the timeline. So I searched online and a lot of the information was very detailed so I set about trying to simplify it whilst still keeping the main elements. So it's fairly condensed due to design and space constraints but it's also fairly comprehensive. Most of the information was lifted then compressed from here.

General Election

I haven't posted anything for ages. I have been busy on many different projects but now I'm going to turn this neglect upside down over the coming days and post everything I've worked on over the last 6 months.
As everybody will have seen, the General Election was announced this week. It got me thinking about who to vote for and how all the parties seem to be the same. Then I came up with this little idea. It's actually quite well thought out, with New Labour in the centre and Lib Dems and Conservatives to the left and right. And as the parties are so obviously defined by their colours it was pretty easy to link them all in with (Gordon) Brown.

Not sure whether I'll be actually voting Green on May 6th, I'd like to but I guess that would in some incredibly backwards way play into the Tories' hands.

Evil Comes In All Sizes on Teepay

I had a tee up for sale at a UK company called teepay. It was a little too expensive (I never even bought one) but it was a good quality tee made by Howies so I figured it might still sell, but it now looks as though the company has gone under. I'm gonna try to get a batch of these made up and sell them through some sort of online shop if there is enough interest.
